The cover of this notebook reproduces, on the front and back, two watercolors of lemons painted by Amanda Almira Newton (1860-1943), granddaughter of the famous Isaac. Amanda worked for thirty-two years for the United States Department of Agriculture and produced thousands of fruit watercolors at its request. All varieties of apples, lemons, mangoes and other grapes... have passed under his brush!
