Some inks developed for fountain pen use also work well with dip pens, technical pens, brushes, and airbrushes. Although they're a subset within the drawing ink category, inks used for calligraphy purposes should always be lightfast, water-resistant, acid-free, and archival for creating invitations, written quotations and poems, and keepsakes that will last over time.
To create stunning effects on paper, boards, metal, dark and toned papers, black canvas, and other surfaces, look for pearlescent, glitter, iridescent, and metallic inks.
