April: A Voyeur’s Voyeur by David Muskin
"you are looking at the work of a voyeur’s voyeur. It’s dark on purpose, just listen. My being is what I bring to my subject matter. I continue to shoot film & print full frame negatives. I print an image as I experience it. My images are direct and thought provoking “Unseen Content” continues to drive and surprise me in the process of creating photographs. The photographs can be metaphorical or referential and allude to further communication.” - David Muskin

May: Coral Academy of Science Middle School Art Exhibition and Fundraiser

We are proud and honored to showcase our Coral Academy of Science Middle School Art Exhibition and Fundraiser at the Nevada Fine Arts.
This is the proverbial tip of the iceberg of the most beautiful and expressive work created in our studio. Each piece represents a journey through artistic exploration as students develop their own unique “visual voice.” Included in this exhibit are Contour Drawings, NeuroDoodles, Perspective studies, and artist studies on Jean-Michelle Basquiat, Georgia O’Keeffe, Romare Bearden, and more.
CASMS is a tuition-free STEAM academy dedicated to fostering curiosity, creativity, and college readiness. Our art students dive into a wide range of mediums and techniques while exploring the rich histories of artists from Da Vinci to Warhol and from Hokusai’s Great Wave to Banksy’s Girl with Balloon. They learn to See like an artist, Trust in themselves, take a Risk with their process, and, maybe above all, Play in the moment.
“Time and space lose importance when one is in the flow of creativity.”
Many of the students in this exhibition will likely pursue careers outside of the arts, but the skills and confidence they’ve developed—focus, collaboration, problem-solving, and creative confidence—will serve them for a lifetime.
Take a moment to appreciate the artwork, celebrate our young artists, and, if you can, give generously.
Our goal is to raise $8,000 for a new collaborative mural project at our school in collaboration with The Nevada Arts Council, local artists and of course, the students. You can support the CASMS Art Department in the following ways:
- Leave a message of support—words of encouragement mean the world to our students.
- Make a donation—every dollar helps us bring this project to life.
- Purchase stickers and prints —all proceeds go directly toward the CASMS Art Department and funding the mural.
Thank you and enjoy the show!
June: Armen Ges
Armen Ges’s artwork is a bold exploration of freedom and self-expression, deeply rooted in the streets of his hometown, Los Angeles. His creations transcend mere visuals, reflecting his personal growth and the emotional terrain he’s navigated. Armen’s work is a raw and innovative interpretation of the world around him, drawn from the energy of his environment. His graffiti art captures the city’s pulse, transforming it into vibrant narratives full of movement and life. As a self-taught artist, Armen has evolved his style into a unique form of abstract expressionism, where the process is as important as the finished piece. His approach is immersive, challenging him both mentally and physically with each creation. To acquire one of Armen Ges’s pieces is to bring a fragment of his transformative journey into your space. His art doesn’t just decorate a wall; it connects with the soul, offering a powerful blend of emotional resonance and modern aesthetic. Armen’s work bridges the gap between personal experience and universal appeal, making it a compelling addition to any collection.
Special Six-Month Show: The Example Gallery
NFA's talented customers showcase their work and technique using items sold in the store. Pieces will be hung for six months in the according sections, such as acrylic paint, pastels, charcoal, etc.
Our next call for the Example Gallery will be opening in June!
Keep checking back for more info about our upcoming shows!
Hanging requirements for work accepted into shows:
All art dropped off for the show at NFA must be ready to hang or display. Any exception to these requirements must be agreed upon PRIOR to the drop off or your art may be disqualified from the show. We now have ways to accommodate UNFRAMED artwork, to a limited capacity, if necessary.
We do NOT accept Saw Tooth Hangers (of any kind), Swiss frames or clip frames, or eyebolts mounted on pieces.
The most ideal and secure method is with D-Rings mounted high on the image. Wire optional. If your work does not have this system we can install D-rings for $5 charge in most cases. If you need us to install D-Rings, pieces must be dropped off 2-3 days before drop-off deadline. If there are any questions, you can call the store at 775-786-1128.
We reserve the right to refuse any work that is not suitable for our hanging system. This is as much to protect your work as is to avoid work being knocked off the wall and hurting someone.
