Description:
Lippan Art is a traditional fine art of North Western desert regions of India. In this creative expression, we use Clay - Mirror work to create a beautiful art piece. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, this master class will guide you through the steps of creating stunning Lippan art pieces involving clay handling methods and basic acrylic painting techniques.
Supply List:
1. 10 inch pre-marked MDF circle and mirror set - Attached Pics (2 options : Floral design and Peacock design - first come first serve) [ I will provide this set for additional $10 and it's required]
2. Air dry clay - white - 4 OZ
3. Aleene's Fast Grab Tacky Glue
4. Craft smart or Folk art or Apple Barrel or craft acrylic 2 oz bottles - Bright red, Dark blue or Navy Blue, Bright Mint green or Holiday green, Pool Blue or Sky blue and White
5. Basic acrylic paint brush set
6. Rag or fibre cloth
7. Palette Knife or Plastic knife

Monika R. Nagarajan is a passionate artist deeply inspired by the rich cultural heritage of India’s tribal communities. With extensive experience in traditional Indian Mural Art and tribal art forms such as Kerala Mural, Warli, Gond, and Madhubani, Monika has dedicated her artistic journey to preserving and reinterpreting these ancient art forms for a modern audience.As a bridge between traditional and contemporary art, Monika’s work seeks to highlight the spiritual and ecological wisdom embedded in India’s tribal communities. Each piece is not just an aesthetic experience but also an invitation to reflect on cultural preservation, sustainability, and the beauty of indigenous knowledge systems.

Non-Refundable Fee: All class fees are non-refundable. Once your payment is processed, it is considered final.

Cancellations by the Shop: In the rare event that we need to cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances (such as instructor illness, insufficient enrollment, or other emergencies), participants will be offered a full refund or credit towards a future class.
