CURRENT CLASS SCHEDULE
Registration is accepted over the phone by calling 775-786-1128, or in person at the store. Registration is accepted on a first come, first serve basis until maximum class size is reached. Students who need to withdraw from a class after registering may receive a tuition refund less $7.00 administrative cost if Nevada Fine Arts is notified 3 business days before the first session of class. No refunds thereafter. Method of payment: cash, check, or Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. It is recommended to arrive 15 minutes before class begins.
Any materials purchased at Nevada Fine Arts for the classes will be discounted 10% off retail price.
Expressive Pastels
Today, pastel paintings are recognized as a respected, permanent major fine art medium. This course explores the various expressive techniques of applying pastels. Students will be encouraged to experiment with all techniques and produce one or two paintings. Individualized attention will be provided throughout the course. Subject matter will be contingent upon individual skill levels.

Pastel paper or Canson Mi Tientes, Felt Grey, Dark Grey ,or Sepia.
Assorted pastels of your choice. NuPastel set of 24 or 36/ supplemental sticks by Rembrandt, or Daler Rowney are excellent, too.

Achieving a Likeness
Designed for beginners, this class explores the principles and importance of value and shape in achieving a likeness and will concentrate on "seeing" these shapes and values in order to create a portrait. Students will specifically work with graphite pencils of varied hardness and/or charcoal pencils. Quality reference photos of your choice enlarged to 8 x 10 are required.

Saturday Mornings from 10:00 to 1:00 pm. Starting July 26th.
Bring your favorite medium you are working in: watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, pen and ink, etc and artist/teacher Naomi Nickerson will give you individualized instruction on developing your piece of work. She will start out each Saturday with 1Ú2 hour formal instruction on some aspect of art, perspective, color theory, etc. Sometimes she will have a still life set up, or a live model.
Pre-pay for 6 sessions and drop-in any Saturday within a 3 month period. Please call on Friday to let us know if you will be dropping by on Saturday. Cost is $90.00.
